3-Day Nyerere NP Budget Tour | Boat and Walking

Day by Day

DAY 1

You’ll be warmly greeted by a guide from Afrishare Trekking and Safaris at your Dar es Salaam hotel, airport, or ferry terminal, where you’ll receive a safari briefing. Next, you’ll embark on a scenic 4-hour drive south to Selous Game Reserve (Nyerere National Park), with a delightful lunch awaiting your arrival. The afternoon promises an exciting boat safari along the Rufiji River, offering close encounters with hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. As the sun sets, you’ll return to Selous Jimbiza Camp for a sumptuous dinner and a comfortable overnight stay, all included in your full board package. This marks the beginning of your unforgettable wildlife adventure in Selous Game Reserve.

DAY 2

After breakfast in the morning around 8am with your lunch boxes enter in the park for the game drive. Enjoy full day game inside the game reserve, great animal sightings including all the great favorites lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and all the other major species like hunting dogs and birds in the afternoon after lunch then proceed with the game drive until evening and overnight at the Jimbiza camp.

DAY 3

Begin your day with an invigorating morning walking safari, a captivating two-and-a-half-hour journey through the enchanting landscapes of Selous Game Reserve. Witness wildlife up close, immersing yourself in the untamed beauty of the reserve. Upon your return to the lodge, enjoy a refreshing shower and indulge in a hearty breakfast. Your adventure continues with a scenic drive back to Dar es Salaam, accompanied by delectable packed lunch boxes. Upon your arrival in Dar es Salaam, your options unfold: bid farewell and catch your homeward flight or seamlessly transition to your hotel or ferry for a tranquil escape to Zanzibar or picturesque Mafia Island. This marks the end of your Tanzanian expedition, leaving you with cherished memories of an unforgettable adventure.
